Steve A. Arshinoff: MD FRCSC will enlighten us about an important eye-care program in remote Northern Ontario. Steve and his colleagues have spent 1-3 week per year, for the past 35 years, administering services that are not available locally. Dr. Arshinoff is the designer of the OMA-CNIB (Ontario Medical Association - Canadian National Institute for the Blind) Mobile Medical Eye Care Unit (MECU), of which he is the Medical Director. He is Associate Professor, DOVS, University of Toronto, Canada, and has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and medical textbook chapters.
