Lori Oschefski, CEO and founder of the British Home Child Advocacy and Research Association (BHCARE) will give an account of the “British Home Children”.
The child migration program into Canada which ran from 1869 to 1948. Over 100,000 children of all ages were sent to Canada from various institutions and workhouses found throughout the United Kingdom to be used as indentured farm workers and domestics.
Social time begins at 9:30 am and the meeting begins at 10:00am.
