Daniel Laxer is a graduate student in history at U of T. His talk will highlight his studies of Canada’s music and dance, centered on the fur trade era. An Edmonton native, Daniel is an accomplished fiddler and will perform some traditional music associated with the period. Daniel is an author of academic papers, one of which won an award for writing in Canadian Music.
