FROM OUR PRESIDENT -  

A lingering summer in September has ushered us into a pleasant October, albeit with shorter days and cooler nights. While this is a season of change, reflected in a kaleidoscope of colourful foliage and the celebration of gratitude at Thanksgiving, it is also a season of change for PROBUS Etobicoke (PE).

This month marks the beginning of our new fiscal year and, for me, the final Newsletter as your President. It has been both an honour and a pleasure to serve you over the past year. The task was made considerably easier by our remarkable Management Committee (MC), as well as the many volunteers throughout the Club who generously give their time and energy to make our events, groups and activities happen.

Together, we will continue to be all about having fun, making new friends and keeping active. We also extend a warm welcome to our newest members. We look forward to your participation and to getting to know you through the many opportunities PE has to offer.

Finally, I want to thank all of you for your support, encouragement and friendship throughout my year as President. It has been a very rewarding experience. While I will be handing over the President’s gavel, I am not going anywhere! I look forward to continuing to work with the Management Committee as Past President and, most importantly, to seeing many of you at our events, activities and gatherings throughout F2026–2027.
