FROM OUR PRESIDENT -  

With August 2026 coming to an end, I trust you have enjoyed some quality time with family and friends. Perhaps you spent time at the cottage, enjoyed a weekend getaway exploring another part of our beautiful province, or took advantage of the summer weather with some sightseeing, hiking, biking or travelling. And, of course, there was always time for good food—and perhaps a little wine or beer tasting along the way!

Labour Day weekend has often felt like a “New Year” of sorts for many of us. The lazy days of summer begin to give way to a new season, and although the Dog Days of Summer—those sunny, hot and dry days—are now in the rear-view mirror, there is still much to look forward to: plentiful harvests, crisp autumn days and, of course, Ontario’s magnificent fall colours.

Our PROBUS Etobicoke volunteers have been busy lining up an exciting array of events and activities for the Fall season. Although we offer activities year round, we will be ramping up our activities as we move into the fall.

And speaking of calendars, Thursday, October 15 is an important date! That is the date of our 2025–2026 Annual General Meeting. To to all our members who have put their names forward to hold Management positions, thank you for your willingness to contribute your time, talents and energy to our Club.

There is certainly much to look forward to at PROBUS Etobicoke. I encourage everyone to get involved, participate in our many activities, reconnect with old friends and, perhaps, make some new ones along the way.
