Visit to Toronto Island

Return trip on ferry - (Seniors $4.50; regular fare $7.00) Paid individually on day.  Take the 10.00 am ferry to Centre Island.

We will assemble at the old cannon just south of the Centre Island ferry docks where our guide, Allan Stokell, will give a short history of the Toronto Islands. 

After a walk to the formal gardens we can proceed to St. Andrew’s by- the-Lake Church and stroll past the Royal Canadian Yacht Club. Next we will take the boardwalk to Ward’s Island to see the lovely little cottages and sweeping city vistas. If time permits we can also visit Algonquin Island and perhaps the Queen City Yacht Club.

There will be an opportunity to have lunch (not included in the price) at The Rectory, a lovely restaurant on Ward’s Island. We are then just five minutes from the Ward’s Island ferry for return to the mainland.
